Maybe It Is Time. . .

Maybe it is time. Instead of an election just have an implosion. I am tired. We lost a woman who effected all of us. She did some significant work both before the bench and on the bench. And what do we hear about? Whether the President and Mitch McConnell can confirm a Justice before the election.

Which, if it were not for Mitch McConnell would be a no-brainer.

Regardless, neither the weekend nor this week have involved much reflection upon the work she did, the arguments she made, the dissents she wrote, but rather whether McConnell has the votes. Whether this will help or hinder the Republicans and Democrats in their campaigns.

Anyway, I look at all the nonsense and I would be happy to see the US just break up. We cannot agree to take a time out and celebrate a woman who whether you agree or disagree with her made some serious changes to world we live in. She was woman of consequence. If we cannot be like her and the late Justice Scalia and just for a moment recognize something that deserves recognition, well screw it.

Perhaps, with this post I myself am betraying her memory, but that is the mood I am in at the moment. Why bother?

The President pointed out that if you do not count the blue states, the COVID numbers drop dramatically. Barr with his claims of anarchy the same. They are right, It is a point that seriously needs to be considered.
